Patient Rights

Protecting the privacy and security of patient health information is a priority at Next Gen Neuro, LLC. 

As a patient, you have the right to:

  • Have your privacy be protected without regard to age, race, color, sexual orientation, economic status, educational, cultural, physical or mental disability, religious background, or source of payment. 

  • Be treated with respect and courtesy by Next Gen Neuro staff.

  • Be free from all forms of abuse and harassment.

  • Become informed of your rights as a patient in advance of, or when discontinuing care. 

  • Elect a proxy if you are unable to make an informed choice regarding your care. 

  • Request your medical records within a reasonable time period and in accordance with federal HIPAA policies and procedures

  • Request amendment to and obtain information on disclosures of your health information. 

  • Know the name and qualifications of the NGN staff and the physicians under contract with NGN who are responsible for services provided to you. 

  • File a written complaint without fear of retaliation or discrimination.

NGN requires all healthcare providers, within our team, to protect your health information with passwords, encryption, and other technical safeguards. Your health information can be used and shared for specific reasons not directly related to your care, such as for billing and regulatory reporting, in compliance with your HIPAA rights.
