Real-Time cEEG

Continuous Monitoring

In real-time, our R. EEG Ts are available to continuously monitor your patients on-demand, with 30-minutes notice or less, 24/7/365 with no extra charges for nights, weekends, or holidays.

This allows care providers to have an uninterrupted window into the patient’s ongoing brainwave activity to determine the proper treatment, and to make adjustments as needed, in real time.

Real-time cEEG Continuous Monitoring

Who is it for?

Real-time cEEG, Continuous Monitoring can be provided for all patients from neonatal to geriatric, in the hospital or clinic setting. Next Gen Neuro is highly focused on our most vulnerable neonatal and pediatric patients.

Why is it important?

By using real-time cEEG, Continuous Monitoring you can shorten patient length of stay, catch seizures/spells that would otherwise be missed on the routine EEG, and help facilitate decision making for families.

NGN offers Real-Time cEEG, Continuous Monitoring in compliance with all 2020 CPT coding requirements for this level of monitoring and enforces a 4:1 patient to REEGT ratio. Our patient to technologist ratio for this level of monitoring is one technologist to four patients.

Remote Real-time cEEG, Continuous Monitoring can be used to compliment your team when there are gaps in staffing or can be used 24/7/365.  We are there when you need us, in 30 minutes or less.

Real-time cEEG

Intermittent Monitoring

Next Gen Neuro provides two types of Real-time cEEG, Intermittent Monitoring services — Clinical Review & Monitoring (6:1 patient to REEGT ratio) and Technical Monitoring (12:1 patient to REEGT ratio). Both intermittent monitoring services are provided in real-time as the cEEG is recording, occurring at intervals every 2 hours throughout the cEEG recording period. Intermittent monitoring offers mid-level support for those who need monitoring during the recording period, but do not require that monitoring continuously. The best part is we allow for transitioning between services. For example: If a seizure is detected on Clinical Review the patient can transition to Real-Time Continuous monitoring.

Clinical Review & Monitoring

Real-time cEEG Intermittent Monitoring Clinical Review of cEEG Recordings includes review, annotation, and reporting of clinical and technical significant findings for the entire 2-hour period of EEG recorded since the previous review.

One technologist will be assigned no more than 6 Intermittent Clinical Review patients.  This level of Intermittent cEEG monitoring allows for no more than two hours to pass before detection and reporting of seizures or other significant events.

Technical Monitoring

Real-time cEEG Intermittent Monitoring Technical Review of cEEG Recordings includes review, annotation, and reporting of clinical and technical significant findings for the period of EEG recording which occurs in real-time during the review period (an average of 10 minutes every 2 hours).

One technologist will be assigned no more than 12 Intermittent Technical Review patients.  This level of intermittent cEEG monitoring allows for no more than two hours to pass before detection and reporting of technical issues with the recording.

Who is it for?

These services can be provided for patients in the hospital, clinic, and Ambulatory EEG, home-based settings.

Both are compliant with 2020 CPT requirements for Real-time cEEG Intermittent Monitoring technical services.

Why is it important?

Real-time Intermittent monitoring of continuously recorded EEG and EEG with video, provides an intermediate alternative to Real-time Continuous monitoring or no form of monitoring during the recording period.

Previously Recorded cEEG

Retrospective Review & Clipping

At recording completion, our REEGT reviews the cEEG recording, annotates and clips all significant findings, and provides a timely technical report. Affordable pricing is ideal for AEEG provider cost savings.

We also have Daily Review available via our NeuroAnalyst services. These CLTM Technologists review EEG data from the previous day and prepare a preliminary report for the Reading Physician to revise, complete and sign-off.

REEGT Review

Who is it for?

These services can be provided for patients in the hospital, clinic, and Ambulatory EEG, home-based settings.

Why is it important?

Due to nationwide staffing shortages and the potential for budget cuts caused by 2020 CMS long-term monitoring CPT code changes, not all hospitals or ambulatory companies are able to offer Real-Time cEEG Continuous Monitoring or Real-Time cEEG Intermittent Monitoring services.

Therefore, when a patient undergoes EEG monitoring, his/her brainwaves may not be viewed in real-time by a trained EEG Technologist.

Don’t worry, our team at Next Gen Neuro is committed to timely review of this data for you and your patients. We can help by partnering with hospitals and/or ambulatory companies to provide cost-effective retrospective EEG review services.

Routine and Stat EEGs, on-demand in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

STAT & Routine EEG monitoring

Who is it for?

Routine and Stat EEGs can be provided for inpatients and outpatients, in the hospital setting.

Why is it important?

Routine and Stat EEGs can give a quick view into the patient’s brain activity and is useful in diagnosing and treating various types of brain related disorders, fast and efficiently.

How is it completed?

Routine and Stat EEGs are set up by onsite neurodiagnostic personnel and performed by the onsite EEG Technologist or the Remote R. EEGT Analyst in real time.

Both types of tests typically take around 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete after the recording starts. The Remote R. EEGT Analyst provides a descriptive analysis of the EEG by creating a technical report. This is available to the facility within 30 minutes of EEG completion.

Supplemental Services

Neurodiagnostic Assistants, Hook-up Training & Supply Packets

Next Gen Neuro offers additional services for partners to best suit their needs.

Neurodiagnostic Aids

What are Neurodiagnostic Assistants?

Neurodiagnostic Assisants (NDAs) can be an ancillary health care professional or an EEG student. NDAs can be onsite or called in, as needed and can hook up all types of EEGs (routine, stat, ambulatory or cEEG). The NDA can aid the Remote R. EEGT Analyst in history taking, activations and on-site care, as needed.

What is cEEG Hook Up training and how does it work?

NGN provides hook-up training on-site or remotely for ancillary health care professionals and nurses using various techniques to guide the facility team in performing efficient, quality hook-ups.

What are EEG Supply Packets?

NGN can further support your facility by providing EEG Supply Packets that include all of the materials needed for an EEG hook-up. EEG Supply Packets can be customized for the type of hook-up/EEG that is offered at your facility and will help cut down the time it takes to prepare for the EEG study.
